  • Treating Erectile Dysfunction With Platelet-Rich Plasma

Causes of erectile problems are from any of the following:

  1. Problems with the man’s blood vessels.
  2. Problems with the man’s nerves.
  3. Problems with some of the man’s body chemicals (hormones).
  4. Sometimes caused by medication which the man takes regularly.

At Glory Wellness & Regenerative Centre, we use P-Shot (amongst other things) to stimulate natural restoration of healthy blood supply & tissue regeneration to the penis to restore normal erectile function.

First, we evaluate our patients to know the cause and severity of their erectile disorder.

Then we go on to determine the best course of action.

If we establish that based on the particular patient’s underlying medical problem or causative factor, they will benefit from the P-Shot, we go ahead to prepare them for the P-Shot procedure.

P-Shot is a special adaptation of platelet rich plasma therapy (PRP therapy) for injection into the penis.

We obtain platelet rich plasma from the patient’s own blood. The blood is processed at our centre to extract from it a portion of the watery segment of the blood which is highly concentrated with platelets.

This platelet rich plasma contains over 200 growth factors which are body chemicals with biochemical capacities that include healing & regeneration. About 10 of them are the most important in the regenerative process in the body, including the regenerative process going on in the shaft of the penis when we treat erectile dysfunction.

We treat our patients on an outpatient basis, and thereafter over the next few clinic visits we monitor the progress of the improvement in their symptoms i.e. The procedure is safe and warrants no hospital or clinic admission.
